The quantities of vegetables supplied to the central wholesale market of the Greater Amman Municipality reached 1851 tons today, Thursday, while the quantity of fruit reached 741 tons and leafy greens 207 tons.
According to the central market bulletin and the price list of items received today, based on the lowest and highest price per kilogram, the price of Navel oranges ranged between 60-90 piasters, Ajamawi black eggplant 10-25 piasters, dry onions 20-40 piasters, potatoes 30-50 piasters, tomatoes 7-15 piasters, carrots 20-30 piasters, lettuce 15-25 piasters, spinach 50-60 piasters, cucumbers 30-50 piasters, corn 20-55 piasters, cauliflower 15-50 piasters, olives 70-130 piasters, zucchini 50-80 piasters, lemons 30-80 piasters, cabbage 25-30 piasters, mallow (molokhia) 20-30 piasters, and local bananas 50-70 piasters.
