16 male and female swimmers to represent Jordan in the Arab Championship

The Swimming Federation announced the names of the male and female swimmers who will represent Jordan in the 5th Arab Age Group Championship, scheduled to be held in Bahrain from November 19 to 23, following the review of the results of the qualifying championship held from September 24 to 27, alongside monitoring the times of swimmers based outside the Kingdom.

The national team list includes 16 male and female swimmers, selected according to four categories: A-standard, B-standard, relay selection, and technical selection.

The A-standard category includes Abdulrahman Al-Hajawi and Farah Al-Dakan, while the B-standard category includes Jad Al-Barghouthi, Adam Al-Baqain, Serena Mahyar, Sima Al-Qualit, Sarah Khreis, Rula Muqbel, Hashem Al-Naimat, Michael Al-Worr, Jude Al-Tawil, Sima Al-Khalidi, and Leen Al-Abdallat.

Hashem Ashour and Fawzi Ghayada were also selected under the relay selection category, while Omar Nuh was selected under the technical selection category.

The Federation confirmed that the current announcement is limited to approving the names of the male and female swimmers, without specifying individual races or relay team formations, which will be approved later after holding technical meetings with the swimmers and their coaches to discuss competitive programs, relay strategy, the competition schedule, and the technical goals of the national team.

The Federation explained that a swimmer's selection for the national team does not necessarily mean they will participate in the specific race through which they qualified, as the final program for each swimmer will be prepared in a way that serves the interest of the national team and enhances its chances of achieving the best results during the championship.

The Federation congratulated the selected male and female swimmers, their coaches, and their clubs, wishing them success in representing Jordan and achieving distinguished results in the upcoming Arab Championship.
