The Supreme Council for Media Regulation revealed that it had received a complaint from Zamalek club against the director of the summit match against Al-Ahly, and it has been referred to the Complaints Committee.
Zamalek lost to its traditional rival Al-Ahly (0-2) in the match that brought them together last Sunday evening, in the summit of the sixth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The committee will examine and study the contents of the complaint submitted by the Zamalek club management and take the necessary measures, as confirmed by the Supreme Council for Media in its statement.
The complaint against Walid Farouk, the director of the summit match, was filed on the grounds that he deliberately highlighted the sound of Al-Ahly fans' chants containing insults and profanity against Zamalek and its fans.
Zamalek described what happened as a violation of societal values and the media code of honor, demanding that all necessary legal measures be taken against the director.
It is noteworthy that Zamalek's loss to Al-Ahly has become the third in a row for the Whites in the summit at the Egyptian Premier League level, following their defeats last season twice, 1-2 and 0-3.
