The Zaha Cultural Center participated, this Sunday, in the opening of the Arab International Plastics and Packaging Industry Exhibition, which was held under the patronage of Her Highness Princess Alia, daughter of Tawfiq Al-Tabbaa.
The exhibition highlighted the "Green Wheelz" project, which aims to promote environmental awareness and the recycling of plastic containers and caps, and to contribute to building the first inclusive school for children with disabilities (cerebral palsy) in Amman.
According to a statement by the center, the project aims to reduce plastic waste by collecting and recycling containers and caps made of (PET) and (PP) materials, thereby promoting a culture of sustainability and environmental responsibility, and utilizing environmental work to serve sustainable humanitarian and developmental goals.
The Executive Director of the Zaha Cultural Center, Rania Sobeih, said that the "Green Wheelz" project embodies a model of environmental and community work by transforming plastic containers and caps into sustainable value that contributes to protecting the environment and achieving a humanitarian goal, which is contributing to the construction of an inclusive school for children with cerebral palsy in Amman.
She added that the project reflects the center's belief in the importance of linking sustainability with social responsibility, and enhancing the role of individuals and institutions in supporting initiatives with a positive, sustainable impact, stressing the importance of concerted efforts to achieve the project's goals and provide an inclusive educational environment for the targeted children.
Sobeih pointed out that the center's participation aims to highlight the talents of its members, develop their capabilities and skills, and provide them with the opportunity to participate in community events, which enhances their presence and encourages them to express their talents.
The Zaha Cultural Center expressed its appreciation to the Arab International Exhibition Union for providing the center with the opportunity to participate in the exhibition and introduce the environmental and humanitarian goals of the "Green Wheelz" project, in addition to highlighting the talents of its members through the activities and segments presented.
