The criminals, through their vile and cowardly act, wanted to sow discord among the people of Jordan, its Christians and Muslims, but they failed, just as the enemies of Jordan have failed since the founding of the Jordanian state to sow the seeds of division among its people, Muslims and Christians, from the north to the south.
His Majesty King Abdullah II’s anger over the sanctity of blood and the security of the people carries a meaning felt by every Jordanian: this homeland has a state that protects it, justice to turn to, and a leadership that bears the trust of its people and offers the precious and the priceless to protect them.
As we rally around our Hashemite leadership, we carry our share of the responsibility; we preserve our unity, reject incitement, and let the law take its course.
O people of Karak, words may fail to console an aching heart, but all of Jordan stands at your door. Your grief is our grief, in every one of our homes, and your children are our children.
We are all Karak... we say it today, and we are all brothers, and each one of us is a guardian of his brother, and of the homeland that unites us.
