The Vocational Training Corporation (VTC) institutes, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, have begun implementing 49 training programs. The number of male and female participants in the programs reached 608, distributed across 22 institutes in addition to a number of associations, including 368 job seekers and 240 tourism service providers.
The training programs cover a number of areas related to the tourism sector and its needs, including handicrafts, food industries, hotel and tourism services, food and beverage services, digital marketing, project management for associations, and artificial intelligence tools. This allows participants to acquire specialized practical skills and supports raising the quality of services and tourism experiences provided to tourists and visitors.
The Vocational Training Corporation oversaw the registration and interview stages in cooperation with the Jordan Hotel Association and the Jordan Restaurants Association, which contributed to selecting participants and directing them toward training programs according to the nature of each field and the needs of the sector.
The program targets job seekers by providing training programs that qualify them to work in the tourism sector, in addition to those working in the tourism sector with the aim of developing their skills and raising the level and quality of tourism services. It also targets tourism service providers and local experience providers from local communities in various governorates, working to develop their skills and improve the level of services and experiences provided to tourists and visitors.
The implementation of these programs comes within the framework of the partnership between the entities concerned with training, tourism, and the private sector, in a way that enhances the alignment of training with labor market needs, supports the provision of qualified personnel for the tourism sector, and empowers members of local communities to develop their skills and benefit from opportunities related to tourism activity in various governorates of the Kingdom.
