Trump: Taiwan will buy 30% of gas from Alaska pipeline

US President Donald Trump announced during an election rally on Tuesday evening that Taiwan has agreed to purchase 30 percent of the production of the planned natural gas pipeline in Alaska.
During an election rally in Wasilla, Alaska, Trump said, "Taiwan has just agreed to buy 30 percent of the gas transported through the pipeline over the next twenty years."
The planned 1,300-kilometer pipeline is supposed to transport natural gas extracted from the massive reserves in northern Alaska to the south, where it will be converted into liquefied natural gas.
