Trump says he will consider a request to disclose more records of the September 11 attacks

US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he will consider a request made by relatives of the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks to release more records related to the attacks.

He added to journalists in Ireland before boarding a plane to return to the United States, "I will consider the matter upon my return"

Relatives of the victims and injured of the September 11 attacks are demanding the declassification of more records related to the attacks. Lawmakers from both parties in New York have called on the Trump administration to release some of the phone call records.

Republican Representative from New York, Nicole Malliotakis, told ABC News earlier this month, "This may be one of the best opportunities available to us to obtain this information," adding, "I hope we will see this kind of transparency from this administration"

New York City Mayor, Zahran Mamdani, recently made available to the public about 170,000 pages of records related to air quality, health concerns, and the city's response to the attacks.
