Trump: Oil Prices Will Collapse Once Confrontation with Iran Ends

US President Donald Trump said that oil prices will see a decline as soon as the conflict with Iran ends.

This came in a post published by Trump on his social media accounts, in which he held the previous President Joe Biden's administration responsible for the rise in prices across the country.

Trump pointed out that oil prices during Biden's tenure were higher than current levels, adding that his administration "prevented Iran from possessing a nuclear weapon"

He explained that the prices of commodities, except for oil which is a temporary case, have decreased sharply, adding: "As soon as the military confrontation with Iran ends, oil prices will collapse quickly too, and this will not take long"

In another post, Trump stated that oil flow through the Strait of Hormuz is continuing uninterrupted.

The US President continued: "The world countries that have not helped us in any way and will do so, must bear the costs incurred by the United States when this confrontation ends"

Trump stressed that his country is making efforts for other countries more than it does for itself, considering this matter has been ongoing for generations.

Last week, the average diesel price in the United States exceeded, for the first time, the $6 per gallon mark due to supply shortages.

According to data from the American Automobile Association (AAA), the average price of a gallon of diesel in the United States is a record high of $6.23.
