US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that a meeting will be arranged "very soon" between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, as part of diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war between Russia and Ukraine, while keeping the door open to the possibility of launching new military strikes against Iran after the US midterm elections.
Regarding the efforts to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, Trump told reporters: "A meeting will be arranged very soon, and I think a great deal of progress can be made," without specifying a date or location for the anticipated meeting.
