And the so-called Israeli left is responsible for trying to hide all traces of its crime historically, and it is responsible for the occupation of what remains of historical Palestine in the June 1967 war, and it is the one with the demographic strategy with its consequences, since the catastrophe of 1948 until the implementation of the racist "Development of the Negev and Galilee" plan. This so-called left is not willing to give up the material, moral, and political privileges it obtained because it is Jewish, and provided by the Zionist state that was established on the ruins of the displaced Palestinian people, and plundered its wealth and confiscated it to serve the Jews and their state!
Betting on the Israeli left is an "illusion" in the context of the right of return, and the Palestinian strategy must be based on international law, international legitimacy, and the right to self-determination, and the Zionist left is not an ally in this regard, and the issue is not a misunderstanding, but it constitutes the core of the national conflict in Palestine.
Perhaps some parties in the Zionist left theoretically support the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967 borders as part of political settlements, but within conditions that guarantee Israel's security, and the Israeli left categorically rejects the "right of return" of Palestinian refugees to the 1948 territories, considering it a threat to the Jewish character of the occupying state!
This current is sometimes led by figures with high military backgrounds, such as Yair Golan, the head of the Democrats party, where they try to combine a strict security language with slogans of peace or formal moderation.
The Jewish left tends to support civil rights for Arab citizens in Israel, while absolutely emphasizing the racist aspect against Arabs, and some of them call for a formal Arab participation in government coalitions!
The number of countries that have recognized the State of Palestine by September 2025 is about 157 to 160 out of 193 member states of the United Nations, "which is equivalent to more than 81% of the members."
The number of countries recognizing Palestine increased during the United Nations General Assembly meeting and the "Two-State Summit," where the summit witnessed the accession of many major and new countries to the list of official recognition, including the United Kingdom, formerly known as "Great Britain," which made the "Balfour Declaration," and paved the way for the establishment of the occupying state by facilitating the immigration of Jews and arming Zionist gangs that committed heinous crimes against the Palestinian people before the establishment of the State of Israel. Among the countries that have recognized Palestine are also "France, Australia, Canada, Portugal, Belgium, Malta, Luxembourg, and others."
But this recognition remains on paper if it is not translated into concrete practical measures, even if it requires implementation by force in accordance with Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, which grants the UN Security Council the exclusive authority to determine the existence of any threat to peace, breach of peace, or act of aggression, and to take the necessary measures to maintain or restore international peace and security. All these requirements apply to the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, although this demand is almost impossible due to American support for Israel, and the "American veto" ready to thwart any decision against Israel, as proven practically during the war of extermination on the Gaza Strip!
In the news, the Palestinian factions have agreed to postpone the legislative elections, and I think this measure is not important, whether the elections are held or canceled, but the most important thing is to end the factional division and achieve national reconciliation, despite the many initiatives that have been made in this regard, and all of them have failed!
