The Public Service and Administration Commission holds competency tests in Aqaba

The Public Service and Administration Commission conducted competency tests today, Thursday, in cooperation with the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, as part of the Commission's efforts to enhance the experience of beneficiaries of the Competency Assessment Center's services, and to contribute to reducing the travel burden on applicants traveling long distances.

The President of the Commission, Engineer Faleh Al-Nahar, emphasized the importance of partnership and integration between government institutions in developing service delivery mechanisms and facilitating procedures for citizens, noting that providing locations for holding competency tests in the governorates is in line with the Commission's trends towards enhancing accessibility to tests and providing a suitable environment for applicants, which supports the principles of justice and equal opportunities among them.

He pointed out that the Commission is working in parallel to conduct competency tests in a number of the Kingdom's governorates, in cooperation with universities and government agencies that have suitable halls and facilities, in accordance with the approved technical standards and requirements for holding tests, ensuring a suitable environment for their implementation and maintaining the requirements of quality and reliability in assessment procedures.

Al-Nahar added that the Commission is currently discussing with a number of institutions and relevant authorities the possibility of providing similar halls and facilities in various regions of the Kingdom, following the example of the initiative provided by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, with the aim of expanding the scope of holding tests in the governorates, facilitating applicants' access to them, and reducing the financial and time burdens resulting from traveling to test centers.

He valued the initiative of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and its cooperation in providing the hall designated for the tests, confirming that these initiatives reflect the importance of employing the capabilities available to government institutions and enhancing their mutual benefit, which contributes to raising the efficiency of government work and improving the quality of services provided.

The hall provided by the Authority accommodates twenty applicants per session, with the possibility of holding up to six sessions, which allows for accommodating numbers of applicants, facilitating the holding of tests in Aqaba Governorate, and reducing the financial and time burdens resulting from their travel to the Competency Assessment Center.

The initiative comes within the framework of cooperation between government institutions and benefiting from their available facilities and capabilities, as other government departments can benefit from the hall to hold their tests, after obtaining the approval of the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and coordinating with it in advance.

Regarding accommodating the number of applicants, the hall in Aqaba is allocated for tests that fit its capacity, while Al-Balqa Applied University handles large numbers, with a trend to increase the number of available laboratories in the future, according to need and the volume of demand for tests.
