For their part, MPs Walid Al-Masri, Hayel Ayyash, and Ibrahim Al-Hamidi emphasized the importance of activating the role of Educational Development Councils as a link between the Ministry of Education and the local community, listening to the needs of schools and parents, and working to find practical solutions to existing challenges.
In turn, the head of the Educational Development Council in Zarqa, Ziad Al-Qadi, said that Educational Development Councils play an important role in connecting the Ministry of Education with the local community, pointing to their role in building partnerships with private sector institutions to benefit from their capabilities in supporting schools, ensuring the provision of a safe and healthy educational environment for students.
The members of the Educational Development Council raised a number of demands, most notably establishing a clear mechanism to facilitate donations provided to schools and encouraging companies and institutions to support the educational sector within social responsibility programs, by providing clear regulatory procedures that allow institutions and individuals to provide financial and in-kind contributions to support schools and meet their needs.
They called for strengthening the powers of the Educational Development Councils to enable them to communicate with supporting companies and institutions and follow up on school needs more effectively, emphasizing the importance of continued coordination with the Parliamentary Education and Higher Education Committee to follow up on these demands.
