The King: The dangerous escalation cannot be allowed to continue

His Majesty King Abdullah II said on Monday that the dangerous escalation cannot be allowed to continue, expressing Jordan's aspiration to work with Malaysia to confront the challenges witnessed in the region and to enhance regional peace and security.

During discussions with the King of Malaysia, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Sultan Iskandar, at the National Palace in Kuala Lumpur, His Majesty stressed the necessity of stopping the dangerous Israeli attacks in the region, including measures in the West Bank and Jerusalem, and attempts to change the historical and legal status quo in Islamic and Christian holy sites, noting the continued severe suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza.

His Majesty pointed out the alignment of Jordan and Malaysia's positions regarding the centrality of the Palestinian cause and the two-state solution as the only way to find a resolution to the conflict.

His Majesty the King touched upon the situations in Syria and Lebanon, indicating that their sovereignty and security must be respected.
