The Jordanian community in Britain and the Anglo-Jordanian Society organize a solidarity vigil in London in tribute to the victims of the terrorist attack on a church in the village of Hamoud in Karak.

The Jordanian community in Britain, in cooperation and participation with the Anglo-Jordanian Society, held a solidarity vigil in front of the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in London, attended by a large crowd of Jordanian community members, Arab brothers, British friends, and individuals of various nationalities, expressing deep sadness and solidarity with the homeland and the families of the victims of the painful terrorist attack that targeted a church in the village of Hamoud in Karak Governorate.

The vigil featured the lighting of candles and the raising of photos of the victims of the tragic incident, in a poignant humanitarian and national scene that embodied the unity of feelings and the depth of belonging to Jordan, confirming that distances do not separate Jordanians abroad from their homeland and families in times of hardship and adversity.

The President of the Jordanian community in Britain, Hilmi Al-Harahsheh, delivered a moving speech in which he emphasized that the pain of Karak is the pain of every Jordanian, and that the affliction of its people is the affliction of all Jordanians, saying:

We share your sadness and pain; your grief is our grief, your affliction is our affliction, and our hearts are with you even if distances separate us. We stand today from the heart of London to say that Jordan is not alone, and that the sinful hands that reached out with treachery to our people will not undermine our unity and cohesion, but will only increase our determination to stand as one rank behind our Hashemite leadership, our Arab Army, and our security services, in defense of our homeland's security, dignity, and stability.

Al-Harahsheh affirmed that terrorism has no religion or homeland, and that targeting a church in the village of Hamoud is an attack on all of Jordan, Muslims and Christians alike, stressing that the unity of the nation's people, of all origins, backgrounds, and beliefs, will remain an impenetrable barrier against anyone who attempts to undermine the Kingdom's security, stability, and unified national fabric.

Former MP Dr. Tharwat Al-Omari also recited a moving national poem, through which she expressed feelings of sadness and loyalty, and invoked the meanings of humanitarian and national solidarity with the victims' families.

The vigil included speeches and interventions by Ms. Mais Haddadin, Ms. Feryal Halsa, and Dr. Daifallah Al-Jaraideh, during which they expressed their deep sadness and pain over this great tragedy, confirming the support of the community members for their homeland and their people.

The vigil was attended by Jordanian Consul Fares Khreis and a number of Jordanian embassy staff in London, alongside members of the community and participants of various nationalities.

The vigil concluded with the lighting of candles in tribute to the souls of the victims, in a message of humanitarian and national solidarity from the heart of the British capital, confirming that Jordan is present in the conscience of its children and friends, and that the unity of Jordanians, Muslims and Christians, will remain stronger than all attempts to sow fear and division.

May God have mercy on the victims, grant their families patience and solace, and protect Jordan, its Hashemite leadership, and its people from all harm.

Karak will remain towering, and Jordan will remain a homeland of pride, dignity, and steadfastness.
