The Crown Prince meets the Prime Minister of Ireland in New York

His Royal Highness Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II met with Irish Prime Minister Michael Martin on Tuesday in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings.

His Highness warned of the danger of escalation in the region and the continuation of illegal Israeli measures in the West Bank, affirming that the procedures to annex Palestinian territories and settler violence undermine the chances of achieving peace.

His Highness praised Ireland's stance in support of the Palestinian cause, its efforts to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, and its support for peacekeeping efforts in Lebanon.

His Highness expressed Jordan's keenness to enhance cooperation with Ireland in the sectors of technology, digital transformation, education, and vocational and technical training.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, and the Director of His Highness's Office, Dr. Zaid Al-Bqa'in.
