Former England international footballer Raheem Sterling pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a charge of dangerous driving after crashing his Lamborghini on a motorway in May.
The 31-year-old player also admitted to possessing six canisters of nitrous oxide for illicit inhalation, as well as refusing to provide a specimen for analysis, during his appearance at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court, located about 50 miles southwest of London.
Sterling, who attended the hearing wearing a black jacket, black trousers, black shoes, and a dark shirt, was arrested following an accident on the M3 motorway on the morning of May 28.
Police stated that no other vehicles were involved in the accident and no injuries were reported.
The winger has earned 82 international caps for England, with his last appearance coming at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Sterling began his first-team career with Liverpool before joining Manchester City in 2015, where he won four Premier League titles along with other honors.
He left for Chelsea in 2022, but later lost his place and spent the 2024-2025 season on loan at Arsenal.
Sterling joined Feyenoord on a short-term contract in February and made eight appearances in the Dutch league.
