The German national team suffered a historic and resounding defeat on its home ground and in front of its fans after losing to the Greek national team with a score of (0-1), in the second round of the first level (Group Two) of the European Nations League.
Dimitris Kourbelis scored the only goal of the match for Greece in the 74th minute, giving his country its first-ever victory over Germany on German soil.
This loss is the first for the "Mannschaft" under the leadership of coach Jürgen Klopp, who is still searching for his first win after drawing in the first round against the Netherlands (1-1).
In another match of the first level (Group Four), the Portuguese national team snatched a valuable victory from the Norwegian host's fortress with a score of (2-1).
Joao Felix opened the scoring for the visitors early in the 17th minute, ending the first half with Portugal in the lead. At the start of the second half, Erling Haaland equalized for Norway in the 51st minute, but the Portuguese response came quickly through Goncalo Ramos, who scored the winning and decisive goal in the 54th minute, bringing his teammates all three points.
In another match, Ireland defeated Israel 3-0.
