The Russian Ministry of Economic Development announced today, Sunday, that the annual inflation rate in the country has risen to about 6.3 percent, with a slight acceleration in the weekly inflation rate to 0.06 percent, driven by rising transportation costs and prices of services linked to the logistics sector.
The Russian Economic Development said in a statement that the acceleration of inflation during the week reflects ongoing pressure on transportation costs and supply chains, leading to increased prices of some goods and services, while annual inflation continues to move above the target level of Russian monetary policy.
