When mentioning borders, it is necessary to recall another form of the war targeting Jordan, represented by gangs working day and night to flood Jordan with drugs and weapons for smugglers. It is sufficient here to point out that drug cases dealt with by our security agencies this year reached 15,432 cases, a figure indicating the ferocity of the drug war waged against our country to destroy its youth first and exhaust our armed forces and security agencies second, by keeping them in a state of constant mobilization and continuous battle in an open war, especially since the threat to our country's borders is not limited to the danger of drug and weapon smuggling gangs; there is also the danger of sectarian gangs on our eastern and northern borders, which do not hide their aggressive intentions towards our country, its security, and stability.

Extending beyond the war raging on our borders, those lurking to harm our country are waging another kind of battle against it, lying in the war of malicious rumors aimed at questioning every stance taken by our country. The latest of these is the historic speech delivered by His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein before the eighty-first meeting of the General Assembly of the United Nations, and prior to that, even questioning the support provided by our country to the Gaza Strip since October 7—support that no party in the world has been able to match for those besieged in Gaza. Nevertheless, Jordanian aid is questioned by black-hearted individuals possessed by hatred for Jordan and everything Jordanian, causing them to fail to see any good in what Jordan offers or does, or in any stance taken by this country and its people. This is the same hatred that makes them distort facts, even interpreting them according to their whims and what they believe serves their plots to destabilize Jordan through their delusions and the promotion of these delusions. For example, these haters, after every normal and natural change in positions of responsibility in Jordan, spread rumors that the reason for this change is a conflict between centers of power in Jordan, ignoring the fact that Jordan is a state of deeply rooted institutions with longstanding traditions, whose citizens' most binding duty is to unite their ranks to protect it, thereby protecting the future of their children.
