Princess Sarvath El Hassan patronizes the signing of an agreement to support the establishment of a specialized palliative care center

Under the patronage and in the presence of HRH Princess Sarvath El Hassan, Honorary President of the Al-Mabarrah Al-Hasania Foundation / Al-Maonate (Al-Mala'at Foundation), the association signed a cooperation agreement with the Taiwanese Tzu Chi Charitable Foundation to support the establishment of "Bayt Al-Mala'at", the first specialized residential palliative care center in Jordan.

The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Sarhan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al-Mala'at Palliative Care Foundation, on behalf of the board members, and the Chairman and representative of the Tzu Chi Foundation, Po-Wen Yen, in the presence of the Minister of Social Development Wafaa Bani Mustafa, the delegation accompanying the Foundation's Chairman, the Tzu Chi team in Jordan, along with a number of supporters and partners, including the Al-Alami family and Dar Al-Handasah.

The project aims to provide a safe and specialized residential environment for patients suffering from advanced, life-threatening illnesses whose health or family conditions do not allow them to receive appropriate care at home, contributing to alleviating their pain and suffering, and providing their families with the opportunity to stay by their side in an atmosphere of comfort and reassurance.

Sarhan emphasized that the establishment of "Bayt Al-Mala'at" embodies the association's belief that care does not end when the chances of recovery decline, and that what remains of a person's life deserves to be lived with dignity, comfort, and care, expressing his appreciation to the Tzu Chi Foundation for its humanitarian partnership that contributes to turning this vision into a reality serving patients and their families.

The Al-Mala'at Foundation expressed its thanks and appreciation to the Tzu Chi Foundation for supporting the project, to HRH Princess Sarvath for her patronage and presence, and to all supporters and partners contributing to the realization of this humanitarian initiative.

The establishment of "Bayt Al-Mala'at" comes as an extension of the association's mission, which has been providing comprehensive and free palliative care services to patients and their families since 1993, including medical, nursing, psychological, and social care, with home care remaining the preferred option whenever the conditions of patients and their families permit.

The Tzu Chi Foundation, founded in Taiwan in 1966, is one of the international humanitarian organizations operating in the fields of relief, healthcare, education, and community service. Its cooperation with "Al-Mala'at" reflects a shared commitment to the values of giving and solidarity.
