Prime Minister directs the establishment of new parks in 6 governorates by 2027

Prime Minister Dr. Jafar Hassan directed today, Wednesday, to begin the necessary procedures to establish a park in Zarqa Governorate, identical to the Al-Nashama Park in Marj Al-Hamam, in addition to establishing parks in the governorates of Tafilah, Ma'an, Jerash, Ajloun, and Madaba, modeled after the Mafraq Park, with all to be completed during 2027.

The establishment of parks in the governorates comes within the framework of the government's efforts to expand the creation of public parks and facilities designated as recreational outlets for citizens and families, following the high turnout witnessed at the Al-Nashama parks in Marj Al-Hamam and the new Mafraq park, as well as other facilities established and developed by the government to serve citizens and families for leisure purposes, such as the Dead Sea Corniche and the tourist beach.

The government will immediately begin allocating the necessary resources to establish these parks and selecting the land on which they will be built, in accordance with the highest specifications.

The parks will provide green spaces, picnic areas, integrated recreational facilities, rest areas, and safe spaces for families, children, and youth, catering to various groups such as the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as walking and cycling paths, parking lots accommodating hundreds of vehicles, and the planting of forest trees.

The parks will include playgrounds for various sports, extensive outdoor fitness equipment, large areas for children's playgrounds, and service facilities to meet the needs of visitors. They will be equipped with various public safety requirements and surveillance cameras to maintain their facilities.
