Pentagon: The cost of the war on Iran has exceeded $47 billion

Data released by the US Department of Defense (Pentagon), reviewed by Reuters, showed that the military has so far spent more than $47 billion on the war on Iran, an increase of more than 25 percent compared to the ministry's estimate last July.

The largest share of the war's operational costs was allocated to replenishing used munitions, totaling more than $29 billion, in addition to more than $6 billion for replacing military equipment.

The figures did not clearly reveal whether this includes the cost of repairing damage sustained by US bases as a result of Iran's missile and drone attacks.
