The Karak Governorate Youth Directorate, in cooperation with the Mu'ab Youth and Young Women Center and the Mu'ab Vocational Training Institute, conducted four introductory training sessions on the Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work, with the participation of one hundred and sixty people, aiming to raise awareness of the importance of voluntary work, spread its culture among community members, and encourage youth to engage in purposeful voluntary initiatives that contribute to serving the local community and achieving sustainable development.
The sessions, presented by the award's liaison officer, Dr. Hiyam Al-Hamaida, and the award's ambassador, Ahmed Al-Tarawneh, covered the award's mission, objectives, fields, and categories, as well as participation criteria, nomination conditions, and electronic registration and application mechanisms, allowing participants to learn about the procedures for applying to the award and benefit from the opportunities it provides to support distinguished voluntary initiatives and highlight their impact on society.
The sessions also reviewed the "Nahno" platform for voluntary work and its role in documenting achievements and volunteer hours, and enhancing individual participation in community activities and initiatives, in addition to highlighting the importance of organized planning for voluntary work, and developing ideas and transforming them into actionable initiatives capable of creating a positive and sustainable impact.
The sessions focused on the mechanisms for preparing and developing voluntary initiatives, starting from identifying needs and priorities in the local community, to setting appropriate goals, organizing efforts, and employing available resources, which contributes to enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of initiatives, and consolidating the values of social responsibility, national belonging, and active citizenship among youth.
These sessions come within the framework of the Ministry of Youth's efforts aimed at empowering youth, developing their capabilities, expanding the base of participation in the Al-Hussein Bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work, and motivating individuals and institutions to launch qualitative initiatives that meet the needs of society and promote a culture of giving and teamwork, which reflects positively on the development process in various regions of the Kingdom.
