The Ministry of Labor, through the Directorate of Labor Relations, has dealt with 37 labor disputes since the beginning of the year 2026, and has supervised the signing of 28 collective labor contracts aimed at improving the job benefits of workers in private sector establishments.
The Ministry said that 33 labor disputes have been settled, including 25 disputes through direct negotiation, 6 disputes through a conciliation officer, and 2 disputes through the Labor Court.
It added that the Directorate is currently following up on 4 ongoing disputes, with the aim of reaching a settlement between the parties.
The Labor Law provides for 4 stages for resolving labor disputes and reconciling employers and workers, starting with the "conciliation officer" stage, and if a solution cannot be reached, the dispute moves to the "Minister's intervention", then the "Conciliation Council" chaired by the Ministry, up to the final stage represented by the "Labor Court".
