Minister of Youth patronizes graduation ceremony of a batch from the job qualification program

Minister of Youth, Dr. Raed Sami Al-Adwan, patronized yesterday the graduation ceremony of the fourth batch of the job qualification program for joining the aviation sector, which is implemented by the ministry in cooperation with the AMIDEAST organization and with support from Boeing, in the presence of relevant figures.

Al-Adwan emphasized that the implementation of the program aligns with the royal directives that made youth a fundamental focus in the national modernization tracks, which stressed the importance of empowering youth, developing their skills, and expanding their participation in the development process, pointing out that the program embodies a model of partnership between the Ministry of Youth and the AMIDEAST association, aimed at developing youth capabilities and equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to join the labor market and enhance their professional readiness in the aviation sector.

Al-Adwan congratulated the male and female graduates, calling on them to employ the knowledge and skills they acquired in their workplaces, while appreciating the efforts of the AMIDEAST organization, Boeing, and all supporting entities in implementing the program, confirming the Ministry of Youth's keenness to support programs that contribute to qualifying youth and raising their readiness to engage in the labor market.

For his part, Boeing Vice President for Gulf, Middle East and North Africa Affairs, Fahad Al-Mhairy, stated that the cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and AMIDEAST has contributed to providing a practical path for youth to transition from the stage of interest in the aviation field to career opportunities in the sector, pointing out that the graduates' enrollment in jobs within the aviation sector reflects the efficiency of talents in Jordan and the impact of training that keeps pace with the sector's requirements.

In turn, the Executive Director of the AMIDEAST organization, Noor Al-Rasheed, said that the impact of the program is not limited to youth completing the training, but extends to the opportunities they obtain after graduation, pointing out that the partnership with Boeing, the Ministry of Youth, and aviation sector partners has contributed to linking youth with the needs of the labor market through training, direct introduction to the sector, and employment opportunities.

The program included three main tracks: airport services, engineering solutions, and cabin crew, where participants underwent six months of practical training in cooperation with the Airport International Group, the Jordan Aircraft Maintenance Company (Joramco), and Royal Jordanian Airlines. The program included specialized training and field visits, alongside developing English language skills, digital competencies, and job readiness skills, thereby enhancing participants' readiness to engage in the labor market.

57 young men and women, aged between 18 and 35, completed the program requirements for the current year, with 58 percent of them securing jobs and professional training opportunities in the Jordanian aviation sector, while supporting efforts continue for the remaining graduates through specialized career counseling sessions to help them pursue their journey and join the labor market.

Since the launch of the program in 2023, the number of its graduates has reached 240 young men and women, 60 percent of whom have so far secured jobs and quality training opportunities in the aviation sector.

The event activities included the renewal of the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Youth and AMIDEAST to implement the fifth edition of the program in the year 2027.
