The Minister of Youth inspected youth and sports facilities in Mafraq Governorate today, Thursday, as part of a series of field tours to assess the reality of youth work and the requirements of youth and sports infrastructure.

The tour began at the Ruwaished Youth Center, where Dr. Al-Adwan directed the acceleration of maintenance work for the center's playground. He also instructed the center's staff to engage with youth, schools, universities, and the local community in the area to design training programs that meet youth needs and to build a database of university graduates to enable them to work as trainers in youth centers.

He added that the Ministry is proceeding with a methodology based on empowering local youth in remote areas that lack specialized training institutions by implementing "train-the-trainer" programs for local youth, so they can take on training tasks in programs implemented by youth centers.

He indicated that the Ministry's plan includes implementing training programs at the Ruwaished Youth Center within the tracks of sports and cultural empowerment, community participation, learning, and capacity building, in a way that meets the needs of youth and increases their attendance rates at the center.

At the Safawi Youth Center, Al-Adwan directed that necessary maintenance work be carried out and that training programs based on youth needs be provided. Meanwhile, at the Deir Al-Kahf Youth Center, he directed an increase in the number of youth programs, especially English language and football programs, which are seeing high demand from youth.

Dr. Al-Adwan continued his tour by visiting the Bashariya Youth Center, where he reviewed its status and needs, directing the extension of the English language skills enrichment program, the completion of maintenance work on the center's playground, and the upgrading of gym equipment, contributing to the development of services provided to youth and enhancing their participation in youth programs and activities.

He also visited the Hamra Al-Suhaim Youth Center, inspected its facilities and the services provided to youth, and listened to the center's director regarding its needs and ways to develop its services to meet the needs of youth in the area.

Dr. Al-Adwan continued his tour to the North-Eastern Badia Sports Complex in Umm Al-Qutain, where he directed the maintenance of the playground floor and the provision of sanitary units and changing rooms for players, in addition to extending a water line to serve the complex, contributing to providing an environment prepared for holding youth and sports activities.

Dr. Al-Adwan proceeded to the North Badia Youth and Young Women's Center, where he inspected the center's facilities, reviewed its needs, and directed the provision of necessary furniture, the establishment of a computer lab, and the expansion of the playground, contributing to improving the center's facilities and enhancing its ability to implement youth and sports programs and activities that meet the needs of young men and women in the area.

Al-Adwan also met with a group of members from the Umm Al-Jimal Youth and Young Women's centers and directed the holding of training programs in drawing, computer skills, football, and chess in response to youth demands, in addition to providing necessary sports supplies, including sportswear and shoes, to support their participation in various sports programs.

Al-Adwan concluded his inspection tour of youth and sports facilities in Mafraq Governorate by visiting the Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein Sports Complex, where he directed the acceleration of the completion of the playground floor rehabilitation work to ensure service for sports clubs in the governorate.

He also inspected maintenance work at the Mafraq Youth Directorate and reviewed the progress of work and the plans and programs it implements.

These visits come as a translation of the Prime Minister's directives on the importance of activating youth centers, providing programs that meet the needs and aspirations of youth, and developing the infrastructure of youth and sports facilities in various areas of the governorate.

Dr. Al-Adwan was accompanied during his tour by the North Badia District Administrator, Fawaz Al-Khraisha, the Minister's Advisor, Bassam Al-Khalayleh, and the Director of Mafraq Youth, Dr. Rana Shdeifat.
