Mining... Unprecedented Leaps

These are the leaps being made by Jordanian mining companies (Potash and Phosphate), but they are well-thought-out and steady leaps on solid ground.

We can say that this year is the year of launching major projects, including mining, and it seems that the economic modernization plan is being implemented with seriousness and precision.

We said earlier that these are golden years for the performance of the mining companies (Phosphate and Potash), as the unprecedented profits will undoubtedly entice large cash dividends, but it is a better opportunity to expand projects and increase cash reserves.

The two companies are implementing a balanced plan between spending on expanding huge investments and satisfying shareholders who must feel the results of these developments, and there is no doubt that the state treasury is happy, as is the local community, which has a large share of these results.

This is a new project launched by the Arab Potash Company, and the project translates the goals of economic modernization and consolidates Jordan's role in supporting the global food security system.

The third cold crystallization plant project is a key part of the "Southern Expansion", costing (1.1) billion dollars.

The Southern Expansion is the largest investment project in the company's history, with an estimated cost of about (1.1) billion dollars, which will significantly boost national exports.

The company adopts an integrated implementation plan that links raising operational efficiency, developing infrastructure, and applying the highest technical standards to ensure the completion of this strategic investment with high efficiency and accuracy.

The Potash Company protects itself from market fluctuations through products demanded by these markets, especially the European ones.

The project provides about (4) thousand job opportunities for Jordanian engineers, technicians, and workers during the implementation phase, and more than (300) permanent job opportunities upon operation.

The expansion plans of the companies in productive projects at this stage are more important than immediate gains, not only because the outlook for the future must be prudent, but also to strengthen the position of these companies in global markets in the face of competition.
