"Land Transport" Launches Tender for New Departure and Arrival Center in Zarqa Governorate

The Land Transport Regulatory Authority, through the Government Tenders Department, has launched a tender for the implementation of the new departure and arrival center project in Zarqa Governorate, which is located on a land with a total area of approximately 100 dunams, adjacent to the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) station.

According to a statement issued by the Authority today, Friday, this comes within the framework of the Authority's efforts to develop the infrastructure of the public transport sector and improve the level of services provided to citizens.

The project includes the construction of a main building with a total area of approximately 6,200 square meters, in addition to ten subsidiary buildings with a total area of approximately 700 square meters, as well as parking spaces for large and medium buses and cars, three pedestrian bridges, in addition to the implementation of road works, sidewalks, and necessary service networks, providing integrated facilities to serve public transport movement in the governorate.

It is expected that the project, after its completion and operation, will contribute to organizing the movement of departure and arrival of public transport buses, improving traffic flow, facilitating passenger movement, providing a suitable environment for their reception and service, as well as enhancing the integration between public transport services and the Bus Rapid Transit project between Amman and Zarqa, which will positively reflect on the level of service provided to citizens.

The date of October 26, 2026 has been set for the submission of offers.
