Amman —

Jordanian blood is precious, and its type is one

In the midst of this pain, the Hashemite stance was manifested with its deep human and national meanings; as His Majesty King Abdullah II’s follow-up on the conditions of the injured and his standing by their side embodied the leadership’s concern for the people of the nation, while the royal follow-up on their health conditions and needs continued, and consolation extended to the families of the victims and the relatives of the injured. Furthermore, the follow-up of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II and the interest of the Royal Hashemite Court in the families of the victims and the injured reflected the leadership’s keenness that those affected find in their homeland and leadership a support in moments of pain, and that they feel their affliction is not the affliction of their families alone, but the affliction of all of Jordan.

The value of this stance does not lie only in its symbolism, but in its humanitarian message which confirms that the citizen is the focus of attention, that their dignity and safety deserve every care, and that the leadership and society meet at the duty of consolation, solidarity, and standing by those affected. When the hand of consolation extends to the families of the victims, and the conditions and needs of the injured are followed up, the meanings of responsibility and compassion are embodied, and the feeling is consolidated that Jordanians, regardless of their locations and circumstances, are united by one homeland and a common destiny.

In parallel with this stance, state institutions and agencies carried out their duties in dealing with the repercussions of the attack, while Jordanians, of all origins, backgrounds, and beliefs, expressed their solidarity and rejection of everything that touches the security of the homeland or threatens its social fabric. This response showed that Jordan’s strength is not based on its material capabilities alone, but also relies on the cohesion of its leadership, institutions, and people, and on the belief of its children that the unity of the homeland is a red line, and that protecting the human being and preserving their dignity is a responsibility shared by everyone.

It is the image of Jordan that its children know in times of adversity; a homeland where the national interest takes precedence over narrow considerations, where hearts meet during calamities, and where the causes of division and fragmentation retreat before its unity. Jordanians are not united by geography alone, but are linked by a history of sacrifice and work, authentic values of brotherhood and solidarity, and a firm belief that the homeland is the home of all, and that its security, stability, and prosperity are a trust in the necks of its children. True citizenship is not a slogan raised in times of crisis, but a daily commitment embodied in respecting the human being, preserving their dignity, being keen on the security of society, and standing in the face of every discourse that seeks to tear its unity or sow hostility among its children.

In this context, the importance of religious and moral values that call for preserving human life, compassion, solidarity, helping the needy, and rejecting injustice, violence, and intolerance stands out. Islam and all heavenly laws urge doing good and preserving dignity, and it is not permissible for religious texts or doctrinal symbols to be used to justify hatred or aggression against others.

This tragedy should be an occasion to deepen our shared responsibility. What is required is for pain to turn into awareness, solidarity into action, and belonging into a daily practice that strengthens national cohesion. This is achieved by integrating the efforts of the state and society, consolidating the culture of respecting the law, confronting incitement and hatred, and directing energies towards productive work, public service, and voluntary initiatives, so that every individual is a partner in protecting their society, a building block in its construction, and an active element in preserving its security and stability.

May God keep Jordan safe and stable, protect His Majesty King Abdullah II and his trusted Crown Prince, perpetuate love, solidarity, and cohesion among the one Jordanian family, and make our national unity an impregnable fortress in the face of everything that threatens the security and stability of the homeland.
