Jordan is third in the world.. Confidence and strength

The importance of this result lies in the fact that it reflects the status of monetary stability as one of the most prominent elements of strength in the Jordanian economy, and the ability of monetary policies to maintain confidence in the Jordanian Dinar amidst volatile economic conditions. Monetary stability is not limited to maintaining the value of the currency and prices, but its impact extends to enhancing investor confidence and providing a clearer environment for savings and investment.

Most importantly, Jordan achieved this result in a report issued by the Canadian Fraser Institute in cooperation with the Cato Institute and international research partners, which covered 165 countries and territories and was based on 2024 data. Jordan ranked 50th globally in the general index with a score of 7.38 out of 10, and ranked 25th globally in the regulation category with the same score. These indicators provide a picture of the strengths of the national economy.

These results confirm the importance of the efforts made by the Central Bank to maintain monetary stability, in integration with economic and fiscal policies, especially in light of the disturbances and challenges the region is witnessing that affect economies and markets. Furthermore, foreign reserves and stable inflation rates constitute important factors in enhancing confidence in the national economy.

Monetary stability represents an important foundation for growth, but it is not enough on its own to increase production or provide job opportunities unless it is accompanied by policies that stimulate investment, support the private sector, and expand the production base. Hence, the coming phase requires leveraging this advantage to attract quality investments, strengthen industry and productive sectors, and increase exports.

In conclusion, Jordan's global progress in the sound money category represents a message of confidence in the national economy and its ability to maintain stability despite challenges, and an opportunity to continue building on what has been achieved. Monetary stability, which enhances confidence in the Dinar, should be a starting point towards a more productive and competitive economy. Today, with its assets and institutional expertise, Jordan has an opportunity to consolidate these gains and transform them into tangible results that reflect on the economy and the citizen.
