This painful terrorist incident that targeted our people in the pride and glory of Karak is not merely a fleeting assault, but a deep wound in the conscience of every Jordanian, and a black day in the memory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which will remain a witness to the ugliness of an ideology stripped of humanity, that violated the sanctity of the homeland and the security of its people.
The hand of treachery reached out in a dark night, as if the bats of darkness thought they could extinguish the light of Jordan, but they forgot that this homeland has a sun that never sets, the sun of certainty, the sun of men, and the sun of the brave men and women who never bowed before a storm, nor bargained over the soil of their homeland no matter how severe the tribulations.
What happened in the lofty Karak must be a decisive turning point, after which there is no return to complacency with anyone who plans, incites, or carries out an attack that affects Jordan's security and the safety of its people. National security is not a subject for bargaining, and the lives of Jordanians are not a price to be paid in the accounts of hatred, extremism, and conspiracies.
If it is proven that those who carried out this crime are sons of this homeland, then that adds pain to the wound, and places us before a dangerous truth: that extremism, when it washes brains and strips them of the values of belonging and humanity, can turn a person into a tool to kill their own people and attack their homeland. As for the parties that planned, funded, incited, or misled, regardless of their locations and identities, the hand of justice must reach them, and investigations must reveal their full truth before the Jordanian people.
Things will not proceed as if nothing happened. Whoever is proven to have been involved in this crime, whether by planning, funding, inciting, or executing, must bear full responsibility before the judiciary, without exception or leniency, and the law must be the arbiter, and justice the decisive response to everyone who thought they could shake the security of this homeland.
We trust our Jordanian security services, their men who stay awake while we sleep, and stand in the face of danger in defense of the homeland's security and human dignity. We trust that state institutions will continue to perform their duty in uncovering the circumstances of this crime and pursuing those responsible for it in accordance with the provisions of the law, no matter how much they try to hide behind the veil of darkness.
To those who planned and plotted, to those who incited and misled, and to everyone who thought Jordan was an easy target for chaos projects, we say: You have the wrong address, and you are ignorant of the history of the land you are trying to harm.
This is Jordan, the fortress of steadfastness, the kingdom of the Hashemites, the land of dignity and pride, the homeland of men who wrote with their sweat and sacrifices a history that conspiracies cannot erase, and which the hands of treachery will not touch by an inch.
Karak is not just a city on the map of the homeland; Karak is a history of glory, a fortress of dignity, and its people are people of chivalry, pride, and defiance. Its affliction is the affliction of every Jordanian home, from Ramtha to Aqaba, from the Jordan Valley to the desert, and from the camp to the city.
Let everyone know that the blood of Jordanians is not cheap, that Jordan's security is a red line, and that the strength of the state is not measured only by its ability to confront danger, but also by its ability to uproot the seeds of extremism, expose those behind it, and protect its national unity and the rule of its law.
The sun of Jordan will rise again, the gloom will pass, and the homeland will remain greater than all conspiracies, and stronger than all attempts to tamper with its security.
The traitors have failed, the tyrants have failed, and everyone who thought they could break the will of the Jordanians has failed.
For Jordan has never been a homeland shaken by the bats of darkness, but it was and will remain the fortress of steadfastness, the title of dignity, and the home of brave men and women.
May God have mercy on the innocent victims, and protect Jordan, its Hashemite leadership, and its great people from all evil.
