The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed Jordan's support for the United Arab Emirates' nomination of Lana Zaki Nusseibeh for the position of UN Secretary-General.
The Ministry praised the diplomatic competence and extensive experience possessed by Nusseibeh, her distinguished career in multilateral diplomatic work, and her contributions to promoting dialogue, understanding, and building international consensus.
The Ministry emphasized the Kingdom's keenness to support multilateral international work, enhance the role and effectiveness of the United Nations in addressing international challenges, and maintain international peace and security, in accordance with the purposes and principles of the UN Charter and the provisions of international law.
The Ministry expressed its confidence in Nusseibeh's ability to contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of the international organization and developing its performance, wishing her success.
