Issuance of the "Amended" Real Estate Property Law in the Official Gazette

The Amending Law to the Real Estate Property Law No. (17) of 2021 was published in the Official Gazette, following the issuance of His Majesty's Royal Decree ratifying it, based on the provisions of Article (31) of the Jordanian Constitution.

The law comes after being passed by both the Senate and the House of Representatives, to be part of the legislative system regulating real estate property in the Kingdom.

The law stipulates that it shall be called the "Amending Law to the Real Estate Property Law for the year 2021" and shall be read together with Real Estate Property Law No. (13) of 2019 and its amendments as a single law.

According to the text of the law published in the Official Gazette, its provisions will not enter into force immediately upon publication, but rather will come into effect 30 days after the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

The publication of the amending law places the amendments to the Real Estate Property Law within the active legislative framework, in preparation for the application of its provisions after the expiration of the specified legal period.
