International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said on Saturday that it is essential for regulators and supervisory bodies to be fully aware of the risks posed by non-bank institutions, cyberattacks, and fraud.
Georgieva added in a press conference that the annual meetings of the IMF and the World Bank in Bangkok over the past few days were characterized by a mix of optimism and concern.
She continued that central banks must focus intensively on maintaining price stability, and that IMF members discussed vulnerabilities in economic resilience as energy reserves and financial resources are being depleted.
