A report by the Ministry of Investment revealed the granting of Jordanian citizenship to 65 investors during the first half of the current year, compared to 29 investors during the same period in 2025, with the value of investments linked to approved applications amounting to approximately 72.3 million Jordanian Dinars, according to the Ministry's performance report for the first half of 2026.

The report also showed that the approvals included granting Jordanian citizenship to 250 individuals from the families of investors, while the Ministry granted 6 residency permits for 5 years through real estate investment, linked to investments worth 1.38 million Jordanian Dinars.

In terms of investor services, the Ministry issued and renewed 1690 cards for investors and their families during the first half of the year.

On the legislative environment front, the period witnessed the issuance of the amended Investment Environment Regulation System No. 30 of 2026, which contributes to simplifying procedures and reducing the duration of licenses and approvals, along with expanding the scope of incentives to include the expansion and development of existing projects, the introduction of modern technology, and the support of creative industries.

Instructions for granting a license to practice economic activity on the condition of compliance in development and free zones were also issued, as well as instructions for regulating the naming of official agency commissioners and their work with the Ministry.

The measures included amending the decision on granting citizenship and residency through investment, with the aim of enhancing its economic impact and raising the requirements for benefiting from it, and directing investments towards governorates and strategic national projects.
