Gold prices fell for the fourth consecutive session on Wednesday, as rising oil prices fueled inflation concerns, while investors await the Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting next week for clues on the interest rate path.
According to Bloomberg, spot gold fell 0.2 percent to $1,818.18 per ounce, while U.S. gold futures for December delivery fell 0.2 percent to $1,836.20.
As for other metals, spot silver fell 0.9 percent to $20.44 per ounce, platinum dropped 0.6 percent to $838.61, and palladium declined 1.1 percent to $1,090.84.
Meanwhile, the dollar remained under pressure today after falling to a three-week low in the previous session, as lower Treasury yields reduced the currency's appeal.
The dollar index stabilized at 101.78 points after recording previous losses of 0.2 percent.
