The Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development has warned students and their parents against enrolling in schools and educational institutions outside the Kingdom that offer high school programs without obtaining the necessary official accreditation and licenses, urging them to verify the legality of these institutions before registering.
The Ministry emphasized the importance of verifying the accreditation of schools and the educational programs they offer, and ensuring the recognition of the certificates issued by them, to avoid any problems students may face in the future, especially regarding the accreditation or equivalency of certificates, and consequently the ability to continue studies in higher education institutions.
The Ministry called on students and their parents to exercise caution when dealing with advertisements promoting high school programs, and not to rely on promises made by some entities regarding obtaining certificates or the possibility of their equivalency, without verifying that official approved requirements are met.
It stressed the necessity of obtaining information from its official sources and communicating with the competent authorities in the Ministry to verify the accreditation of any school or educational institution before enrolling in it, ensuring that students join recognized educational institutions and protecting their educational rights. The Ministry also warned offices that promote such schools outside Jordan, as they are engaging in illegal activities, which requires the Ministry to take legal action against these offices.
This warning comes within the framework of the keenness to educate students and their parents on the importance of choosing accredited educational institutions, avoiding enrollment in entities that may affect their academic future, and ensuring that the educational programs they join comply with the applicable instructions and regulations.
On the other hand, the Ministry appealed to its sons and daughters, the students, not to resort to such schools and institutions to obtain a high school diploma, especially since the new high school system in Jordan gives the student several opportunities to succeed and obtain the average that enables them to complete their university studies. It is also characterized by flexibility and allows the student to take ministerial exams over two years, which serves as an incentive for students to stay inside Jordan and not look for any alternatives to obtain a high school diploma outside the Kingdom.
