Disi water pumping temporarily suspended due to weather conditions; adjustments to distribution schedules in Amman

The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority, the Jordan Water Company "Miyahuna," and the Disi water operating company announced the suspension of water pumping from the wells and sources supplying the Disi Water Conveyance Project, resulting from weather conditions and atmospheric instability experienced in the southern and eastern regions of the Kingdom on Friday and Saturday.

In a press statement, the ministry explained that prevailing weather conditions caused technical failures that led to the halt of pumping and source supplies from the Disi system, which will directly result in adjustments and delays to the scheduled water distribution shifts for several areas in the capital, Amman, on Saturday and Sunday.

Relevant personnel confirmed that specialized engineering and technical teams are in the field carrying out round-the-clock maintenance and repairs to restart the wells and resume pumping at normal capacity as soon as works are completed, restoring water distribution to areas according to the designated schedule for each zone.

The Ministry / Water Authority and "Miyahuna" called on citizens in the affected areas of the capital to understand this emergency situation and cooperate until maintenance is finalized and pumping resumes according to approved distribution schedules once conditions return to normal.
