Direct Admission Opened at University of Jordan-Aqaba for the New Academic Year

The University of Jordan branch in Aqaba has announced the opening of direct admission applications for Jordanian students who hold the Jordanian General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi) from schools in the Aqaba Governorate, for the current and previous years, to enroll in the regular bachelor's program during the first semester of the 2026/2027 academic year.

The decision follows the Higher Education Council's approval to allow the University of Jordan in Aqaba to accept students into the regular program, in accordance with the minimum admission averages stipulated in the general admission policy and based on the vacancies approved by the Council.

The Admission and Registration Division at the university branch confirmed that applications will be received on Wednesday and Thursday, October 7 and 8, 2026, at the university building, from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, emphasizing that no applications will be accepted after the specified deadline.

The application fee is 15 Jordanian Dinars, payable at the Financial Department. Students wishing to apply must bring a certified copy of their civil ID and the original or a certified copy of their General Secondary Education Certificate.

The list of majors offered for direct admission includes several programs in the faculties of Languages, Business, and Tourism and Hospitality, namely: English Language and Literature, French/English Language, Arabic Language and Literature, Quality and Operations Management, Accounting, Business Administration, and Hotel Management.

According to the announcement, the minimum admission average for the mentioned majors is 65%, in accordance with the admission averages stated in the general policy, provided that actual admission is subject to available vacancies and the approved regulations for the 2026/2027 academic year.
