These words summarize a national vision emphasizing that human beings are Jordan's true capital, and that the capabilities, knowledge, and ambitions of its sons and daughters represent a fundamental pillar of development. From this perspective, the experience of the Crown Prince Foundation gains special importance as it completes its first decade of working with Jordanian youth and enhancing their participation in the national development process.
The Foundation has contributed to providing spaces for empowerment, training, initiative, and community participation, offering opportunities that help youth develop their skills, gain experience, and serve their communities. This experience represents an opportunity to build upon what has been achieved and to open broader horizons for youth energies and potentials.
Investing in youth is not limited to providing opportunities; it is enhanced when an incubator environment is available to help them discover and develop their capabilities, and to turn their ideas into initiatives and achievements with tangible impact. A young person's potential may not always appear in the form of academic achievement or traditional accomplishment; it may manifest in technical innovation, leadership, practical thinking and problem-solving, or social initiative. The more diverse the paths of discovering, nurturing, and following up on these capabilities over time, the greater the society's ability to benefit from its human capital.
The upcoming phase also provides opportunities to enhance the partnership between youth empowerment programs and economic and productive sectors, foremost among them industry, trade, communications, and information technology. These sectors provide practical environments for gaining experience, testing ideas, and turning them into projects and products with added value for the national economy. Expanding cooperation with private sector institutions will bring youth closer to the reality of work and help them develop skills related to economic needs and opportunities.
The value of these efforts increases when they integrate with a vision that allows youth to transition from training to application, from idea to initiative, and from initiative to sustainable project. Furthermore, providing diverse opportunities across various governorates helps reach capabilities that might not otherwise have the appropriate conditions to emerge, thereby enhancing equality of opportunity and national development.
This direction is completed by enhancing youth participation in developing programs directed at them, benefiting from their views and experiences, alongside documenting successful experiences and measuring their long-term impact. Monitoring results not only helps develop practices but also provides a deeper understanding of youth pathways and the progress they achieve.
On this occasion, we express our utmost appreciation to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, may God protect and preserve him, for his attention to Jordanian youth and his belief in their ability to contribute to building the nation and shaping its future, praying to God to grant him success in continuing his efforts in the service of Jordan and its youth.
After a decade of work, the experience of the Crown Prince Foundation remains an important national space to build upon what has been achieved and to expand opportunities for initiative, innovation, and production. Just as the words of His Majesty King Hussein bin Talal affirmed that the qualified citizen is the nation's capital, investing in youth remains an investment in the future of all of Jordan; nations do not build their futures with material resources alone, but with the opportunities they grant their people for learning, work, creativity, and participation.
