Brazilian star Ronaldinho visits Jordan to attend Martial Arts Week

Former Brazilian football star Ronaldinho is visiting Jordan on the 29th and 30th of this month to attend the Mixed Martial Arts Week.

Ronaldinho, one of the most prominent former stars of the Brazilian national football team, announced his visit to Jordan in a video message on Instagram, expressing his excitement for this visit to meet his fans.

The Martial Arts Week events will culminate with the "DF: UNCAGED" fight night, held at the Roman Amphitheatre in Amman, with the participation of Jordanian and international fighters, and the presence of several sports stars and prominent figures.

The event is part of an international sporting and tourism event that combines professional fights, public activities, and visits to touristic and archaeological sites in the Kingdom, aiming to promote sports tourism and introduce Jordan at the international level.

The program includes 13 fights, alongside open workouts in the Dead Sea area and accompanying events at historical and touristic sites.

The event is held under the supervision of the Jordanian Mixed Martial Arts Federation, with the support and cooperation of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Jordan Tourism Board, the Greater Amman Municipality, the Ministry of Government Communication, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Youth, and the Public Security Directorate.

The guest hosting program includes figures from the worlds of sports, art, and content creation.

The program begins on Tuesday the 27th of this month with a press conference at the Odeon Theatre, adjacent to the Roman Amphitheatre, to present the details of the event and the fights, with the participation of organizers, a number of fighter athletes, and guests, and in the presence of the media.

The Dead Sea Corniche will host open workouts for the fighters on Wednesday, October 28th, allowing the public to follow their preparations and interact with them, in an activity that links sports with one of Jordan's most prominent tourist destinations, aiming to stimulate activity at the site and highlight it within the accompanying coverage of the week.

Additionally, the Amman Citadel will host the official weigh-in event for the fighters on Thursday, the 29th of this month, paving the way for the fight night held on Friday at the Roman Amphitheatre, which will feature artistic, heritage, and entertainment segments.

The guests' program also includes visits to touristic and archaeological sites in the Kingdom to discover the diversity of Jordanian destinations and their cultural and natural experiences, and to highlight them through media coverage and content shared by guests with their followers around the world.

The organizers emphasized that the week aims to support sports tourism and diversify the experiences Jordan offers its visitors by holding activities in Amman, the Dead Sea, and various tourist destinations, and by linking the competitions with introducing the touristic and archaeological sites in different regions of the Kingdom and encouraging visits to them.

The event allows showcasing Jordan's tourism richness to the global audience through sports, by highlighting the Kingdom's history, cultural and natural diversity, and the hospitality of its people, and linking its civilizational heritage with contemporary life that welcomes visitors and embraces sports and cultural events.
