The Amman Group for Future Dialogues and the University of Jordan have agreed to renew their memorandum of understanding, as the Amman Group for Future Dialogues was established in response to a national need for a "thinking and reflection" group that examines national issues in a collective, comprehensive, and integrated manner. It operates with a team spirit and on the basis of integrated efforts to identify and prioritize national priorities, and to bridge the relationship between various official, civil, and private sectors in a permanent and organized manner. Its membership includes a group of specialists in various sciences and those interested in public affairs who believe in the importance of teamwork to serve the nation's issues and in the scientific method to solve its problems. The group contributes to improving the efficiency of national development efforts in various fields by addressing the most important issues and problems of the nation, prioritizing them, and drawing on historical, contemporary, national, and international experiences to provide a positive vision for these issues and realistic, scientific alternative solutions. It then studies these issues in a critical, scientific, objective, and comprehensive manner, presenting the studies and solutions reached to the relevant stakeholders and urging them to adopt them. It also seeks to achieve a set of important priority goals, including preserving national culture within its human, Islamic, and Arab framework, disseminating and developing it, combating all forms and manifestations of intolerance and extremism, and developing and spreading a culture of dialogue and acceptance of the other. It also works to achieve sustainable development in all fields, with a focus on building an advanced and balanced national educational system and accelerating economic and social development. For its part, the University of Jordan is keen to introduce students and researchers to the knowledge produced by the university and to encourage them to communicate with society and its various institutions. In addition, it seeks to qualify the Jordanian youth sector, preparing them to be good citizens, useful to their society, and engaged in voluntary community service. Since the group and the university meet in the goal of serving their society and nation, they have agreed to benefit from each other's human resources in implementing the programs, plans, and strategies prepared by each team, to provide each other with studies, research, and documents related to their work and interests, to benefit from each other's expertise in holding workshops, seminars, lectures, and discussion circles, and to provide specialized technical advice in the areas of work that each needs from the other.
They also agreed to exchange the outputs of discussion sessions, lectures, seminars, and workshops organized by each team that are relevant to the work of the other, and to involve each other in organizing, managing, and participating in courses, seminars, and conferences related to their work. They also agreed to invest in various media platforms, including the University of Jordan Radio and social media, to address flaws in the structure of Jordanian society.
