Al-Sha'ar's participation came within the framework of Jordanian attendance in the preparations for the event and to follow up on the organizational and technical arrangements for the Arab Paralympic sports event.

The meetings resulted in the signing of a partnership agreement for organizing the event between the Arab Federation for Persons with Disabilities Sports and the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, under the patronage of the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports.

The Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Jawhar Nabil, the President of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee, Dr. Hossam El-Din Mustafa, and the President of the Arab Federation for Persons with Disabilities Sports, Ehab Hassanein, attended the press conference announcing the details of the event, in the presence of members of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Paralympic Committee and heads of several Egyptian sports federations, along with a number of Arab guests.

The first edition of the Arab Paralympic Games includes competitions in 11 sports: athletics, Paralympic weightlifting, boccia, table tennis, badminton, swimming, taekwondo, cycling, goalball, wheelchair basketball, and sitting volleyball.
