Al-Qadi: The terrorist attack in Karak targets national unity and sows discord in Jordan

Speaker of the House of Representatives Mazen Al-Qadi affirmed that the terrorist attack that took place in Karak on Friday targets the Jordanian national fabric, noting that security services will pursue those involved and arrest them so they receive deterrent punishment.

Al-Qadi said that what happened in Karak represents a "major tragedy," considering that the attack targets Jordanian national unity and seeks to sow discord in the homeland.

He added that Jordan has never witnessed discrimination between Muslims and Christians, and that religious coexistence in it represents a model, confirming that Jordanians stand as one rank behind His Majesty King Abdullah II and the Crown Prince to preserve the security and unity of the homeland.

Al-Qadi pointed out that the Jordanian blood shed as a result of the attack is dear to every Jordanian, expressing his confidence in the ability of the security services, including the General Intelligence Directorate, Public Security, and Military Intelligence, to pursue those involved and arrest them.

Al-Qadi expressed his belief that there are hidden forces behind the attack with the aim of striking national unity and sowing discord, confirming that Jordanians will remain united and cohesive behind their leadership, and that those involved will receive a deterrent punishment for them and others.
