Al-Khatib: Unified Admission List on Thursday Will Not Include Admission of Students with Disabilities

Advisor to the Minister of Education and Human Resources Development for Media Affairs/Director of the Unified Admission Coordination Unit and the Ministry's Spokesperson, Mohannad Al-Khatib, said that the unified admission list to be announced on Thursday evening for the academic year 2026-2027 will not include the admission list for students with disabilities.

Al-Khatib explained that the delay in announcing the admission list for students with disabilities this year was coordinated with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, with the aim of giving the Council more time to review all applications submitted by students for the disability identification card, based on which the student can compete for seats allocated for students with disabilities. This procedure preserves the opportunities of all students who meet the conditions for obtaining the identification card and achieves the principle of justice and equal opportunities.

He added that students with disabilities who will be nominated for admission in the list to be announced on Thursday will receive nominations under the free competitive admission, while these students, after the unit receives the final list of students meeting the conditions from the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, will compete again for seats allocated for students with disabilities, which may improve their admission nomination results.
