He added that Malaysia is not just a market for Jordanian products, but a potential economic partner in fields where it possesses advanced expertise, through which real cooperation can be built based on the exchange of knowledge and technology, the establishment of joint projects, and the opening of new markets for the products of both countries.
He pointed out that the agreement to reactivate the Jordanian-Malaysian Trade Committee constitutes an important step that requires building upon, by involving the private sector in identifying cooperation priorities, addressing trade obstacles, and transforming available opportunities into feasible projects and partnerships.
Al-Haj Tawfiq emphasized that Jordan possesses the elements that qualify it to be an important economic partner for Malaysia, benefiting from its geographical location, the free trade agreements it is linked to, and the opportunities it provides for access to Arab, regional, and global markets.
He said that the Jordanian private sector looks with interest at the opportunities for cooperation with Malaysia in the sectors of food industries, Halal, technology, advanced industries, tourism, and services, pointing to the importance of moving from traditional trade exchange to investment and production partnerships that achieve added value for the national economy.
Al-Haj Tawfiq stressed that "His Majesty the King continues to open new horizons for the Jordanian economy all over the world, but the responsibility of transforming these opportunities into tangible results lies with the government and private sector institutions together, through serious follow-up, institutional work, and initiative."
He added that the next phase requires building on the outcomes of the royal visit with a clear economic action plan, which includes activating communication channels between the two business communities, exchanging trade delegations, organizing specialized sectoral meetings, and identifying joint investment opportunities with economic feasibility.
He confirmed that the Jordanian private sector is ready to communicate with its Malaysian counterparts and the relevant economic authorities to contribute to translating the momentum provided by the royal visit into sustainable cooperation that serves the interests of both countries.
Al-Haj Tawfiq concluded by saying that the best investment in royal visits is to improve upon their results, and to translate the doors they open for Jordan into job opportunities, exports, and investments, the impact of which is felt by our national economy and our citizens.
