A High Banner in the Sky of Scientific Research.. 18 Researchers from Al-Ahliyya Amman University Among the Top 2% Most Influential Scientists Globally

Al-Ahliyya Amman University's presence on the global knowledge map is renewed, as the list from Stanford University, issued in cooperation with the international publishing house "Elsevier," included eighteen researchers from the university's faculty members among the top 2% of the most influential scientists in the world in its ninth edition. This achievement is added to a rich record; the seeds planted more than three decades ago are bearing fruit today, harvested by researchers who hold the name of Al-Ahliyya Amman University high.

This list is considered one of the most prominent and widely circulated global lists, as it is based on standard scientific indicators to measure the impact of citations of researchers' work globally, relying on Scopus database data. These indicators include the number of citations and the h-index, in addition to a composite index that considers co-authorship and the researcher's position among authors.

The list includes two classifications: the first measures the researcher's impact during the year 2025, and the second measures their impact throughout their research career.

The inclusion covered seventeen researchers in the 2025 single-year impact list and five researchers in the career-long impact list, four of whom are included in both lists.

The researchers are distributed across diverse scientific fields as varied as the spectrum, most notably artificial intelligence and image processing, education, pharmacology and pharmacy, construction and building, materials, and networks and communications.

Leading the university's researchers was the Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Ahmed Samed Al-Adwan, who ranked 988th globally in the single-year impact list and 22nd globally in his specialized field.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, stated: "At Al-Ahliyya Amman University, we believe that the value of a university is measured by what it adds to the balance of human knowledge. Today, we see this belief as a reality witnessed by the world. Our investment in scientific research is an investment in the future of Jordan and its generations, and we will continue to support our researchers so they remain in the global front ranks."

For his part, the University President, Dr. Ahmed Hamdan, said: "This achievement confirms that the academic environment at Al-Ahliyya Amman University is fertile ground that cultivates and embraces excellence. The inclusion of eighteen researchers from our university in this prestigious list is an international testimony to the quality of what our faculty members provide, and a motivation for us all to continue the path with greater determination and broader ambition."

The Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Ahmed Samed Al-Adwan, said: "This achievement is the fruit of collective effort and diligent work by my fellow researchers in various faculties. The Deanship of Scientific Research works to promote publishing in reputable journals, expand international research partnerships, and support young researchers so that the impact of our research extends to society and the world... and what has been achieved today is the beginning of a more ambitious phase."

This achievement is but the fruit of a journey of giving and excellence, and a motive to continue the path of scientific research, given its important role in supporting scientific research and enhancing the environment of academic excellence at the university.

On this occasion, the Al-Ahliyya Amman University family extends its sincere thanks, appreciation, and warmest congratulations to everyone whose name was included in this list, asking God for their continued success, and that their pens may remain a beacon illuminating the paths of knowledge.
