The United Nations said on Friday that it expects about 73 heads of state, 45 heads of government, 49 ministers, 11 deputy presidents, and one crown prince to attend the high-level meeting of the 81st session of the General Assembly.
Stéphane Dujarric, the official spokesperson for the international organization, said that in addition to the officially scheduled meetings, there are about 168 events planned during the high-level week, and member states have so far submitted nearly a thousand requests to hold bilateral meetings among themselves. Bilateral meetings with the Secretary-General are also being arranged.
