With weather fluctuations and the approach of winter, Russian doctor Daria Bogomolova revealed a set of daily habits that help support the immune system and maintain the body's vitality, most notably balanced nutrition, adequate sleep, and exercise.
The doctor explained that following a varied diet contributes to supporting the immune response, recommending the application of the "Healthy Harvard Plate" method, which is based on allocating half the plate to vegetables and fruits, a quarter to plant or animal proteins, and the last quarter to complex carbohydrates.
Bogomolova stressed the importance of recommended vaccinations to reduce the risk of diseases and their complications, in addition to learning stress management methods, such as meditation and breathing exercises for 10 to 15 minutes daily.
She also emphasized the necessity of getting enough sleep and practicing physical activity regularly, noting that walking, swimming, and running are beneficial activities for cardiovascular health, enhancing blood circulation and the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to body tissues.
These habits, as the doctor explained, recommend following a healthy lifestyle that supports immune system functions during autumn and winter, while seeking professional help when it is difficult to control chronic stress.
